Contaminants like salt, pollen, dust particles could affects the car's body paint and parts presents in underneath of the car. So we should wash our car properly without using any type of chemicals, as these chemicals could have very bad effects on body paint. During winter we should take some extra care of our car. Winter affects car more than any other season and we should provide some extra care to the car during the winter season. You have provided some important and useful tips in this article. We should check the pressure of the tires as they fluctuate accordingly with the surrounding temperature. We should check the tire tread depth and should replace with a new winter tire if necessary, as winter tire provides more traction on the snowy surfaces than that of other ordinary tires. And different types of fluids used in the car should be checked and if necessary should be replaced.

Nicely written and useful article. Cars are nothing but machines and affected by extreme temperature and hence needs maintenance at a regular interval. We should check tire pressure, tread, break pads etc at a regular interval. And should check the wiper blade as it is affected by the extreme cold. If battery of the car is too old then should be replaced with new one. Thank you.

We should apply a sealant to the car's paint and create a shield against road salt,grime,snow,sleet and rain. To protect the car paint during winter months spray sealant is necessary. It is easy to apply and wipes off quickly. To clear away the snow from the car body we must use a soft snow brush. Never use ice scraper for this as this may scratch the car paint.

The harsh weather in winter can wreak havoc on the car's paint finish. A worn and damaged paint is not only unattractive, but also reduces the vehicle's resale value. The author has provided here with some tips to prevent damage to the car paint during winter. A coat of polymer wax must be applied to protect the car paint from the effects of icy rain, snow and sleet as well as from rock salt and grimy mud. We shouldn't skip the car wash. By using a soft snow brush we should clear away the snow from the car.
